Wet Winter; cold and wet Spring and early
Summer reducing yield, drought from 25 June to 8 October. Lack of rain and great heat in
September (picking began on 28th) resulted in very heavy, course, full-bodied
wines.
Tasting Notes
" Very fruit but simple on the palate.
Medium ruby with a slight purple hue, fresh mint and cherry nose. medium-bodied, with
sweet cassis and cherry flavours, medium tannins and a decent finish." James Suckling, Vintage Port
