Fonseca´s 1960 Vintage Port
Vintage Report

The opposite to 1960 in France: a good vintage. Harvest began in a heatwave, endend in rain - difficult weather in which to control fermentation. A satisfactory, midlle of the road vintage,
generally well balanced and developing well.

Tasting Notes

"… still purple in colour; raw stalky nose; very alcoholic and citrus - like flavour - very odd.… good rich fruity nose, distinctly sweet, fullish, fat, fruity and packed with flavour."
Michael Broadbent, The Great Vintage Wine Book
"Interesting mature fruit flavours, but drying on the finish now. Medium to light red, floral nose, medium-bodied, with floral and berry flavours, light tannins and a short finish. Still quite hard but it may be fading quickly."
James Suckling , Vintage Port
