Tasting Notes "The big classics... Dow, for me a copy of book wine. Deep and youthful looking when first seen in June 1982; nose hard, dry, yet nutty. Full bodied, stern and massive. Loaded with tannin and acidity and clearly a long life ahead. A year later, in September 1983, though deep and starting to mature. The nose was sweet, fig-like, rich but unready; sweet, full, fleshy, soft, rich. Very good. Needs plenty more in the bottle. Clearly a top classic port."
