Tasting Notes
|
"Many tastings since 1965. Consistent notes following the wines development. Very
often impossible to know the name of the bottler but Avery, Harvey, Edward Sheldon all
good. Two Oporto-bottled wines (by Dow, of course) were noticeably deeper and less mature
in colour; powerful and hard (both tasted in 1976). Another Oporto-bottled wine was
hightly preferred by a professional panel. My notes at this tasting: medium full colour,
firm, maturing; crisp, fruity, bouquet, fairly sweet, rich, fullish body."
